Strange, I know I am alone in this void, but I still have the feeling I am being watched. The angel and the demon are far behind me, each in their own little world. I look around me, but I see no one. I continued to move forwards, ignoring the feeling, until suddenly I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying "I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last."
I turn to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned, I see one like the son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band. His head and hair are white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes are like a flame of fire. And his feet are like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace. And his voice is like the sound of many waters. And he has seven stars in his right hand, and out of his mouth comes a sharp two-edged sword. And his face is like the sun shining in its strength. And when I see him, I feel at his feet as dead. And he lays his left hand upon me, saying to me, "Do not fear, I am the First and the Last, and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever. And I have the keys of hell and of heaven."
I stand before this imposing figure and ask him about this world. "The world is not here, the world is outside. What once was is gone, but the world still lives. See Blind One! See!" He brings his hands together with the seven stars in between. A blinding light comes forth, driving away the darkness. I close my eyes to protect them.
When I re-open them the light is gone, and so are the tall man, the angel, the demon and the void. I fell grass behind my hands and feet, and see trees before me. The sky is blue with small white clouds and the sun shines upon my face. In the distance I hear birds singing and the wind blowing through the leaves. Was this all a dream? Had I simply fallen asleep in this field? No, it can not be, for no matter how comforting this place is after the void I was in before, I do not feel at home. This place is completely unfamiliar to me, the trees have leaves I have not seen before, the birds sing songs I've never heard, and even the sky is a different shade of blue.
I try to stand up, but fall down immediately. It takes some getting used to the gravity again after spending some time without it. I try again and succeed this time. Taking my first steps cautiously to avoid falling, I walk to a small hill a little further up ahead. As I walk I get more used to it and can speed up my pace. I reach the top of the hill and have a clear view of the area in which I awoke. All around me a large forest stretches out, but a few miles in the distance I see a small village behind the trees. I climb down the hill and set out for my newfound destination.
